Well I had been back from Brazil for nearly 3 weeks when I had my next appointment with Dr. R. I was excited to see him and tell him about my experiences and and see how things were coming along. The appointment started the same way it normally does. He asked me how I was doing and how I felt. He asked me if there were any changes. Everything really seemed pretty much the same as before. I explained that was okay as things weren't getting worse, and honestly I was told to be patient and keep the faith. So, I was determined to do just that.
He looked things over and felt all of the lumps. He did lots of muscle testing and had a colleague come and compare to his observations like the last time. After the colleague had gone over their observations they decided that the lump just over my collar bone seemed harder and almost calcified. The largest in my trapezious muscle also seemed a touch harder but not quite to the extent of the other. The tiny one just below the largest or right in between the other two seemed like it was also hardening and shrinking to boot.
After some more muscle testing he repeated what he had said at the last appointment. He said that no matter what way he asked questions he kept getting the same answers. These lumps were my body's immune reaction. He said that body was able to identify a potential threat and react by placing a protective coating around it almost like an oyster would a piece of sand to make a pearl. (Great analogy, huh?)
I know he said basically the same thing at the last appointment, but this time it just really sank in and I felt like it was really true. My body is an amazing instrument that when given the proper nutrition and love it does what it was meant to do. It can and will heal itself. It just takes time and patience and a bit of faith and encouragement is all.
Anyhow, nothing really big to report, but it did seem like once I changed my perspective everything changed. It reminds me of the quote by Dr. Wayne Dyer (a great inspiration to me BTW).

Hi Windy, It's nice to meet you. I also started a blog about my health journey and I agree that the body is remarkable. I believe that our bodies are fully capable of healing themselves when we eat the right kinds of foods. By the way, I enjoyed the pictures from your trip to Brazil. It looks like you had a great time... :)
ReplyDeleteWindy - my friend had a similar problem at one point. If you'e still writing, shoot me a message at virgilnci(@)gmail(dot)com - I have some materials that may be of interest. Best, V
